In Aug-24, the price of fresh tomatoes in Egypt rose by 20%, reaching USD 512.22/ton (EGP 25,000/ton), up from USD 409.77/ton (EGP 20,000/ton) in Jun-24. This significant increase is due to higher cultivation costs and reduced productivity.
