TR4 disease frightens Brazilian banana producers

As the TR4 disease spreads along Colombian banana fields with the army taking a role in the efforts of control, Brazilian producers are becoming more concerned about the possibility of widespread devastation. As a preventive action, researchers at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA), together with the Bioversity International, located in Cali, Colombia, are already in action. They have produced a technical statement, addressed to producers and extension workers, alerting and guiding them to protect themselves from the quarantine.
