Trabzon Became the Leader of Turkish Hazelnut Exports in the First 3 Months of 2023

From January to March 2023, Trabzon City in Turkiye exported 29,200MT of hazelnuts worth USD 187M. Despite a 16% YoY decrease in the hazelnut export volume, the export value increased by 11% YoY. Trabzon became the leader of hazelnut exports in the first 3 months of 2023, realising 41% of total Turkish hazelnut exports. During this period, Turkey exported 71,500MT of hazelnuts worth USD 455M. Compared to the same period in 2022, total Turkish hazelnut exports decreased by 20% in quantity and 8% in value.
