Turkey exported a large amount of pickles this year

Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association President stated that Turkey closed 2020 with USD 277 million pickle exports. The pickle exports increased by 12 %, from USD 268 million to USD 300 million from January to November 2021. Pickled gherkin was the most exported pickle from Turkey with an amount of USD 133 million.

From January to November 2021, Germany was the top importer with a demand of USD 76 million for Turkish pickles. The Netherlands was the second biggest importer, with a demand of USD 47 million. In addition, Turkey exported USD 32 million to the United States, USD 25 million to England, and USD 11 million to Romania. The number of countries that Turkey exports pickles has been 129.
