Turkey's pomegranate exports have broken its record in 2021

The export volume of Turkish pomegranate has been increasing consistently. The exporters were able to generate a revenue of 126 million USD in 2020, and in 2021 they managed to increase this figure by 5% to USD 132 million. The export volume has decreased by 7% to 177 KMT. However, the exporters were able to increase their export revenue by securing better prices for their products in 2021. The top export destinations for Turkish pomegranate in 2021 were Russia, Iraq, and Germany. The export target for 2022 is set as USD 150 million.
