Turkish 2022 Dried Common Bean Production Estimate and Prices

Dry bean production in Turkey in 2022 is estimated to be 285,000MT (TurkStat). In Turkey, the 2022 dry bean harvest started in the first week of September and the markets have been closely monitored since the beginning of the harvest by the Turkish Grain Board. In order to regulate the markets in favour of dry bean producers, to prevent producer grievances that may occur, and to ensure the sustainability of production, the following purchase prices will be applied in the 2022 campaign according to the varieties of dry beans:

Cali Type, Alubia Type: USD 1,147.54/MT
Dermason Type: USD 1,092.90/MT
