UK increases blueberry production to meet high domestic quota

The United Kingdom is now represented as the largest and most mature market for blueberries in Europe with an annual per capita consumption of 0.8/kg average, and yet increasing its annual production over time to benefit the national quota. Favoring the acreage area available UK set an important milestone on its domestic farming, going from a couple of hundred tons in 2008 to 2,700 tons 10 years after, with 110% growth YoY average.
