Ukrainian pig farmers have no reasons to increase pork production

Despite the growth of the pig production volume in Ukraine at the beginning of 2021, there is a reduction tendency during the year. This is due to the fact that Ukrainian pig farmers faced a significant increase in the cost of feed at the end of 2020, and pork prices continued to decline. Due to rising costs and declining pork prices, producers are likely to change their production plans and reduce production in 2021.
