In the US, the season of Alaskan pollock (theragra chalcogramma) will end in April 2023. During the season, the catches have been stable. The offer in the Portuguese and Spanish markets for block frozen fillets (skinless and boneless) is slightly higher than the demand, creating pressure on the suppliers' side. In September 2022, the cost of pollock was higher than USD 4,100/MT CIF, and in W44, the price was around USD 3,850–4,000/MT CIF. However, the price for block frozen (skinless and boneless) Atlantic cod has increased due to the lack of supply, price is around USD 4.20-4.50/kg to USD 4.70-5.00/kg DDP.
