The 2021 pear harvest from the USA Pacific Northwest is in full mode. The quality of the fruit is been really good with minimum cosmetic defects. The predominant sizes are the 60s, 70s, and 80s, which is an issue for markets that normally consume the smaller sizes from 100s to 135s. The smaller sizes are so scarce that the size ratio on shipments is around 30% smaller sizes and 70% bigger sizes.
