US prune availability limited until August harvest

The smaller 2020 prune crop out of California has caused a supply shortage for the export market, particularly for larger sizes in the 30/40, 40/50, 50/60 range. Several small and medium-sized packers are nearly sold out or entirely committed for the season. The situation will continue to tighten until the 2021 crop is harvested in August.
