According to a two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Russia up for 7.02%. In particular, among the export groups, vegetables and fruits had the strongest growth. Although Russia has a very high potential for agriculture, with 8% of arable land worldwide, its production of vegetables and fruits is still very limited.

Meanwhile, the demand for fruits and vegetables of the people of this country is increasing. Therefore, Russia has to import up to two-thirds of fruits and vegetables. It is also one of the largest importers of fruits and vegetables in the world. Therefore, Russia is considered as a potential market for Vietnamese businesses to exploit.
