Vietnam Boosts Durian Exports Amidst Focus on Food Safety Compliance

Vietnam's durian export industry is experiencing significant growth, particularly in exports to China, which accounts for 90% of Vietnam's durian export market. With 708 registered durian growing areas and 168 packaging facilities, Vietnam prioritizes compliance with food safety regulations. In the first quarter of this year, Vietnam exported nearly 57,000 tons of fresh durian, generating US$253 million in revenue, representing substantial increases in both volume and value compared to the previous year.
