There's an existing FTA (Free Trade Agreement) between Turkey and South Korea regarding dairy products. However, due to high customs duties, the dairy business has come to a halt for some time. Turkish suppliers declare and ship their products under the feed-grade category which helps S. Korean buyers avoid paying high customs duties.
According to the latest inquiry directed at the Trade Ministry of Turkey, the current FTA is due to become void in 2023. With the completion of the agreed FTA, the ministry is expecting the import tariffs to be lifted entirely.
