In Jan-24, the price of Egyptian white beans continued rising by 10% month-on-month (MoM) to reach USD 3,237.03 per metric ton (mt) up from USD 2,751.48 in Dec-23. The price surge is due to the new season's production, heightened demand, increased costs associated with agricultural practices, and the prevailing inflation rate in Egypt.
