The fishing season in the Alaska region, US, has reached the 8-week mark, and the catches of wild salmon are close to the pace observed in 2022. In W29, half of the projected Sockeye salmon catch, which amounts to 50% of the anticipated 48.18 thousand fish, has been achieved. Likewise, 29% of the expected Keta Salmon catch, totaling 16 thousand fish out of the projected total, has been captured. Pink Salmon follows with 2% of the forecasted 122.21 thousand fish caught, while Coho Salmon trails behind with only 1% of the anticipated 2.96 thousand fish harvested.
