Indonesian coffee exporters have complained about the complexity of the barriers to coffee bean exports to several countries due to the policy of the chemical residues to several countries. For example, the sporocarp pesticide residue policy in Japan, whereas some other products such as brown rice can enter even though they also contain similar residue at an acceptable level that should be similar to coffee beans product. Therefore, exporters are hoping for more precise and reasonable test standards and parameters that can be carried out in a credible test from the laboratories in the country and expect the government to be more active in the negotiation process with importing countries.
