During 2018-2021, the volume of Ukrainian rapeseed exports to the world agricultural market increased to 2.67 million tons, and the turnover reached 1.69 billion US dollars. For agribusiness, rapeseed is a profitable alternative to sunflower, and this crop is quite profitable for the price. One of the reasons for the growth in global demand for rapeseed is the instability of palm oil prices: the government of the world's largest palm oil exporter, Indonesia, regulates the market with prohibitive and permissive regulations, to which it reacts with violent speculative jumps in quotations.
