From January to May 2022, Chile saw a significant increase in beef exports, with a 31% rise to 9,414 tons, valued at USD 24 million, primarily to China. Meanwhile, pork meat and offal exports experienced a 21.7% decrease, and poultry meat exports increased by 23.8%. Beef imports also saw a 14% increase in average price but slightly decreased in volume from the previous year. Paraguay, Brazil, and Argentina were the main suppliers of beef imports, while pork meat and offal imports experienced a 45.6% decrease.
