According to APK-Inform news agency, in Ukraine this week there is a further decline in demand prices for milling wheat. Most processors reduced purchase prices for the indicated grain, explaining this decision by a rather large number of offers against the background of the almost complete absence of competition from traders as a result of the suspension of exports by seaports due to their blocking. Also, pressure on prices is exerted by information about the good state of winter crops and the active promotion of spring sowing in Ukraine, an increase in transitional wheat residues due to a decrease in its export potential in 2021/22 MY, as well as difficulties with the sale of wheat bran. In addition, most processors continue to work on the previously formed raw material base and do not force purchases, hoping for further reduction in grain prices, which also contributes to lower prices. So, since the beginning of last week, demand prices for wheat of 2 and 3 classes have decreased by 300-600 UAH/t and as of April 20 are fixed in a fairly wide range - 7000-8500 UAH/t and 6950-8450 UAH/t CPT, respectively.
