Temporary data released by the Lithuanian Statistics Office show that in 2020 Lithuania’s agricultural production value reached 2.62 billion euros, an increase of 5.2% year-on-year. The output value of crops increased by 9.9% year-on-year, and the output increased by 13% year-on-year. The largest increase was in fruits and berries (+80.6%) ), oats (+47.6%), rapeseed (+33.9%) and wheat (16.1%). Corn kernels (-14.3%), sugar beets (-12.6%) and rye (-7.7%) have declined. The purchase price of crops fell by 2.8% year-on-year. The purchase prices of potatoes (-28.5%), sugar beets (-19.1%) and oats (-10.1%) fell the most, and the purchase prices of fruits and berries rose by 12.1%.
