On the other hand, surrounding countries in particular have purchased more Dutch onions.
The market price for onions has been stagnant for the past two weeks. Last week, the North and Central Netherlands Agricultural Fair in Emmeloord, Flevoland, recorded an average of 70 euros per 100 kilos for yellow onions. That is 5 euros less than two weeks ago. The quotation committee still describes the onions as price-holding.
