The "Rational Cultivation of Açaizeiro" project has been launched by Embrapa Acre in partnership with various stakeholders to enhance the production of açaí in the Tarauacá-Envira Region. Running for two years, the project is part of a larger initiative focusing on the bioeconomy and sociobiodiversity of key production chains in family farming within the Amazon and Cerrado biomes. The project aims to benefit 100 rural families by transferring technology, improving production systems, and enhancing the forest as an alternative income source. It also seeks to harmonize extractive production with environmental conservation, promoting sustainable production chains and generating new business opportunities within the bioeconomy context.
