Rice production is expected to reach the highest volume in eight harvests

According to the second survey released by the National Supply Company (Conab), rice production in Brazil this season is expected to exceed 12.3 million tons, registering the highest volume of the last eight harvests. Conab reported that "good climatic conditions within the productive cycle favored the achievement of high productivity, as well as the majority of the sowing within the ideal planting window, in addition to the improvement of the productive potential of the crops, even with the use of the technological package employed." The company also highlighted that the increase in the cultivated area, encouraged by the product quotations at the time of planting and the promotion of production, contributed to the growth of the harvest.
