From January to September 2021, Egyptian exports to Nile Basin countries significantly increased by 33.7% compared to the same period in the previous year, reaching a value of 1117 million dollars. The majority of these exports, 94.7%, were to five African countries, led by Sudan and Kenya. The top exports included plastics and its products, followed by cereals. On the other hand, imports from these countries were dominated by Sudan and Kenya, with Sudan being the leading country in imports of live animals and commodities like plastics and its products.
