As every year, the National Table of Nuts has made the estimate of almond production for the 2022 campaign, resulting in a forecast of 61,684 tons of grain almonds. For the second consecutive year, a decrease in production of 29.27% is expected as a result, on the one hand, of the severe frosts that mainly affected the northern half of Spain, and on the other, of the impact of the drought and the proliferation of fungal diseases due to heavy rains in Andalusia, Murcia or the Valencian Community that damaged both conventional production but especially organic production.
