“For the time being, we do not see a scenario that would pose a threat to the domestic wheat market,” Deputy Minister Taras Vysotsky said at a recent meeting with traders and producers. He said the volume of milled wheat already exported is about 80 percent of the total export volume expected this season. According to the ministry, out of the 13.4 million tonnes expected for the season, 10.8 million tonnes of milled wheat have been exported so far. According to the ministry, 2.6 million tons of milled wheat can be exported in the remaining months of this season. The deputy minister advised traders to switch to feed grain exports so as not to help increase the domestic price of wheat. Ukraine has so far exported 5.3 million tons of feed wheat in 2021/2022, which is 45 percent of the amount available for feed wheat exports this season.
