In September 2023, Vietnam's export volume of fruits and vegetables reached approximately US$650 million, marking a month-on-month increase of 39.9% and a year-on-year increase of 160%. The export volume for the first nine months of 2023 reached US$4.2 billion, a 160% increase compared to the same period in 2022. It is expected that the export volume of fruits and vegetables will exceed US$5 billion in 2023, setting a new record in the industry. Additionally, Vietnam's rice exports have experienced a year-on-year increase of 40.4%, with a record export value of US$3.66 billion in the first nine months of this year. The high export prices for rice have led to a significant increase in the income of the entire industry chain, and there is still potential for growth in rice exports in the coming months.
