Demand for Mandarins Increased by 10% YoY During the Holidays in Italy (Jan 9)

Mandarins and clementines are used as gifts in Italy by over 13M families. In 2022 there was a 10% YoY rise in demand for citrus fruits during the Holiday Season despite higher prices due to a 20% drop in the season's supply.

Peruvian Mandarin and Tangerine Production Is Forecasted to Decrease This 2022/23 Season (Jan 11)

FAS Lima forecasts Peruvian mandarin/tangerine production at 550K metric tons (MT), with exports expected to reach 200K MT for marketing year 2022/23. Citrus exports to the United States are expected to fall slightly to 121K MT, but the U.S. will likely remain Peru’s top partner.
