
In W21 in the oats landscape, the sowing of spring oats has been completed in Hungary due to favourable winter and spring weather and the recent rainfall. In Russia, 4.88K hectares of spring oats were sown in Moscow and 14.5K hectares in the Irkutsk region. Additionally, the Ingushetia region has allotted 37,893K hectares for planting spring crops, including 4,777 hectares for oats. As of May 18, Ukraine had planted 4.7M hectares of spring grain and leguminous crops, including 143.1K hectares of oats. In Germany, oats are expected to be sown on 38.6K ha during the spring of 2023/24, a 13% decrease from the 2022/23 season. Lastly, Turkiye's cereal production is expected to rise 2.1% YoY in 2023, based on TUIK data. Among these is the production of oats, which is expected to increase by 2.7% YoY to 375K MT.
