Since 2020, Turkish manufacturers and traders have been meeting in the Mendegüme market without an intermediary, increasing their interest in the market. At the same time, many buyers come from İzmir, İstanbul, Bursa, Antalya, Denizli, Aydın, and Manisa regions to the wholesale market, which is of great importance in maintaining the price balance of the products. From January-April 2023, Uzbekistan's fruit and vegetable exports amounted to 359.2 thousand mt, valued at USD 256.1 million, up 6.5% YoY, with dried prune accounting for 7%. In the first four months, Uzbekistan fruit and vegetable shipments were mainly destined for Russia (27.4%), Pakistan (20.6%), China (16.3%), Kazakhstan (13.9%), Afghanistan (2.4%), Kyrgyzstan (2 .4%), Belarus (2.0%), Turkey (1.9%), Iraq (1.5%), Iran (1.2%).
