
In W30 in the mandarin landscape, Brazilian ponkan tangerine prices have rebounded after a decline in W30, driven by strong demand and decreasing supply. This positive trend has slightly impacted orange prices, which were previously experiencing low weeks. The price of ponkan tangerine stood at USD 9.41/27kg (BRL 44.48/27 kg), an increase of 11.75% in comparison to the previous price. In the Dominican Republic, mandarin cultivation has declined since 2012, with production decreasing from 78.8 thousand quintals in 2012 to 63 thousand quintals in 2022. As a result, external sales have dropped significantly by 86.1% since 2015, totaling USD 2.8 thousand.
