In W39 in the jackfruit landscape, the price of Thai jackfruit in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam, increased by USD 0.041/kg on Tuesday, September 26, following a recent decline. In Tiền Giang, large jackfruit was priced at USD 0.98 per kilogram (kg), while small jackfruit sold at USD 0.53/kg. Additionally, red-flesh jackfruit sold at different prices depending on their weight, with those weighing 9 kg or more priced at USD 3.28/kg, those weighing 7 kg or more at USD 2.87/kg, and those weighing 4 kg or more at USD 2.46/kg. The overall trend was a slight increase in Thai jackfruit prices.

On Wednesday, September 27, Thai jackfruit prices in the Mekong Delta region remained unchanged compared to the previous day. However, it is predicted that Thai jackfruit prices may increase slightly in the near future. In Tiền Giang, large jackfruit was priced at USD 0.98/kg and small jackfruit at USD 0.53/kg. Many Thai jackfruit growers in Hậu Giang, Vĩnh Long, and Tiền Giang provinces are experiencing issues with pigmentation on their jackfruits, which reduces their market value. The pigmentation issue is attributed to prolonged rainfall over the past month.

On Sunday, October 1, the price of Thai jackfruit in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam, experienced fluctuations. In Tiền Giang, Nhat jackfruit was priced at USD 0.94/kg, large Kem jackfruit at USD 0.86/kg, and small Kem jackfruit at USD 0.45/kg. In contrast, the price of red-fleshed jackfruit currently stands at USD 3.28/kg for fruit weighing 9 kg or more, USD 2.87/kg for fruit weighing 7 kg or more, and USD 2.46/kg for fruit weighing 4 kg or more. Red-fleshed jackfruit commands significantly higher prices compared to Thai jackfruit. Beyond the price factor, red-fleshed jackfruit is favored in the Mekong Delta due to its stability in pricing and lower susceptibility to diseases compared to Thai jackfruit.
