Brazil Struggle to Keep Up with Global Demand for Black Pepper as Shortage Persist

Brazilian black pepper price increased by +8.31% YoY to USD 5.59/kg in W1 May-22. Tight supply of black pepper in the global market because of the crop failure in the major producing country, Vietnam. Even though Brazil is able to increase black pepper in 2022, the high demand exceeds the supply in the global market. For that reason led the Brazilian black pepper price to increase in May 2022.
