According to data from RSF (Reiknistofa Fiskmarkada), the price of Icelandic head-on gutted true cod continues to hold steady above the 600 Icelandic króna/kg range (approximately $5.40–5.50/kg). Since the beginning of the year, prices have only experienced minor fluctuations, maintaining a high level overall. In the 9th week, the volume of head-on true cod of this specification was 386 tons. The average index price decreased by 15 Icelandic króna/kg compared to the previous week, but this change was mainly due to adjustments in the specification structure rather than a decrease in demand. The volume of large-sized true cod (over 5 kg) decreased by 39% compared to the previous week, dragging down the overall average price. Apart from the large sizes, prices for other major commercial specifications increased week-on-week.
