The end of the 6x1 schedule could increase labor costs. The proposed change in the work schedule by the project would raise this cost by 22%, calculates the Federation of Trade in Goods, Services and Tourism of the State of São Paulo (FecomercioSP). In a scenario where annual adjustments resulting from collective bargaining vary between 1% and 3%, the entity states that the implementation of an abrupt increase of this magnitude would be impractical for companies, especially for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). According to FecomercioSP, these companies play a crucial role in the dynamics of the productive force of the Brazilian economy. "Any significant increase in costs could compromise their financial viability and long-term sustainability," it estimates.
