The price of black pepper in India surged by +36.39% YoY. The price stood at USD 6.14 per kg in W5 Jan 2021, which was USD 4.50 per kg compared to the same period in 2021. The unfavorable weather in India caused lower output at the same time high demand led the price to surge in January 2022. India has implemented high duty customs for black pepper that imported to India gave more pressure on Indian black pepper price.
