The wholesale black pepper price in East Jakarta decreased slightly by 2% MoM to USD 4.42/kg in W4 Jul-22. In Lampung, which is the largest producer of black pepper in Indonesia, the price was steady at a low level of USD 3.31/kg in W4 Jul-22. The estimated production of Indonesian black pepper is to increase by 5.8% YoY to 55,000 mt in MY 2021/22 leading to low prices in July 2022.
