The price of plums will vary depending on the region of sale and the variety. Plum-Regina Claudia prices in Spain hovered at USD 2.34 per kg in September, while fresh plums in China were at USD 2.03 per kg in early November, and Fresh Plum-Apricot variety in South Africa was selling at USD 2.63 per kg in late November. The higher prices in Spain arrive as plum production is expected to decline this year, while China sells plums more expensively as demand remains high in the country. On the other hand, South Africa also makes sure the price of plums needs to be increased to offset the cost structure.
