The wholesale price of common potatoes in Pakistan declined from USD 0.17/kg in W3 March 2022 to USD 0.12/kg in W2 April 2022 where it traded for the majority of April and May 2022. The price drop is due to an oversupply of more than 3mmt of potatoes in the domestic market in Pakistan. The price of potatoes started to increase in W4 May 2022 to its current level of 0.23/kg in W2 June 2022 as the bulk of oversupply has been dealt with.
