The increase of japonica rice prices in the Chinese market has almost reached 20% YoY. Stable throughout the first year to September at 0.79 USD per KG. With firm prices, China's rice is not susceptible to extreme fluctuations so that inflation and price declines can also be avoided. In 2020, the value of China's imports increased by more than 130%, thanks to massive support from Vietnam. Meanwhile, rice prices in Brazil (-6.53%) and Pakistan (-23.09%) fell after exports from the two countries increased in 2020.
