Global watermelon imports from the Netherlands peaked in March 2021, tripling their value in last February. More supplies came from Costa Rica, Panama, South Africa and Spain. Meanwhile, the opposite trends occurred in Brazil, whose exports in March fell by almost two times from what they could supply last February. Watermelon prices showed an upward trend from November to March in line with the increase in total volume from major exporters. In addition, the price of watermelons in the Brazilian wholesale market showed a peak in March. YoY price change is even higher around +61.32% in the Goiânia, Goiás market and is now worth 0.36 USD which previously stood lower at 0.22 USD.
