As happened in Germany, the surplus of rainfall that occurred in late June to mid-July caused massive flooding which simulated the price of all fresh produce to rise significantly during and after the flood. The price of spinach rose gradually as it entered the second week of July at 2.37 USD per KG. Carrot prices also continued to increase until the first week of July 2021. Other fresh vegetable like eggplant also jumped at 2.37 USD per KG in the second week of July 2021. Meanwhile, the price of Zucchini stood at a higher level in June compared to the previous months.
