The price fluctuation can be seen in the Indonesian garlic market, where the price has now dropped by -29.13% from last year. Prices keep fluctuating from June to May 2021 and the recent decline made garlic in Indonesia worth 2.10 USD in W3 May 2021. The relatively small amount of garlic production in Indonesia makes the country depend most of its consumption to imported garlic from China. Meanwhile, the wholesale price of garlic on the Spanish market increased by more than 50%. It has jumped rapidly since entering the second week of December 2021 and has remained stable since entering March. Spain is actively exporting garlic to European countries, with Germany as their largest market holder. With its large export scale, it does not make Spain stand alone to meet the domestic demand, the country also imports garlic from other countries significantly.
