The Port of Paracas has started exporting Peruvian grapes to international markets, including Philadelphia, Savannah, Los Angeles, Rotterdam, Valencia, London Gateway, Vancouver, and Manzanillo, enhancing the competitiveness of southern Peruvian agro-exporters by reducing transit times. Over 2,600 containers of grapes are transported weekly, with benefits including security, proximity to production areas, and quick response to unexpected situations. The port's closeness to the harvesting area allows for same-day harvest and transport, maintaining fruit quality and condition, and enabling multiple trips per day, resulting in significant logistical and cost savings.
