Another increase in prices for black caviar is predicted in the near future due to the rise in prices of feed for aquaculture fish species caused by the withdrawal of European producers from the markets. This opinion was expressed to TASS by the head of the Union of Fishing and Fish Processing Enterprises "Kaspryba" Andrey Markin. “We see a certain increase in prices for black caviar and sturgeon fish. For pike caviar, there will definitely be a jump in prices by the New Year. For black caviar, prices are also predicted to rise, caused primarily by rising prices for fish feed. It’s great that efforts are being made to create new feed factories in Russia to replace European producers who have left the market, but the fact that feed is rising in price is obvious,” Markin noted.
