By 2024, Australia's pork production is projected to rise by 2% to 480,000 MT (CWE), driven by recent increases in beef and lamb prices. This is expected to slightly boost exports and reduce imports. Pork imports are anticipated to remain steady at 210,000 MT (CWE) in 2024, with the US as the main supplier. Australia exports less than 10% of its pork, but exports are predicted to rise to 45,000 MT (CWE) in 2024. Pork consumption in Australia is also expected to see a slight increase in 2024, reaching 645,000 MT (CWE).
