Turkey: Dried fig exports in the USA increased by 42 percent in the last year

Exports of dried figs, which are one of Turkey's important export products and contribute significantly to the country's economy, to the USA increased by 42 percent in the last year, reaching 50 million dollars. Export figures for dried figs, which is the important export product of Aydın, where the world's best quality figs grow, continue to give hope day by day. While dried fig production from 30 thousand tons increased to 90 thousand tons in the last 30 years, exports of seedless raisins, dried figs and dried apricots constituted 94 percent of the total exports in dried fruit exports in the Aegean Region.
