The Shanghai Yangpu District People's Government and the Lao Ministry of Industry and Trade have signed an agreement to increase the export of Lao fruits and vegetables to Shanghai. Initially, products like bananas, watermelons, passion fruit, citrus fruits, rice, potatoes, and corn will be exported. A distribution center will be set up in Shanghai to serve the Shanghai market and the Yangtze River Delta region. The agreement also includes the use of digital and traffic resources for the sale of these products in China. The China-Laos Railway, which has seen significant growth in shipping goods, is expected to further boost this cooperation.
