Tutorial: Explore Global Price Trends

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to use Tridge to: (1) Explore Price Indices and (2) Explore Meal Indices.

Global price trends provides information about price indices that represent the market and meal indices that represent the top ingredients of the most consumed dishes of each country.

Explore Price Indices

Step 1: Access Price Indices

  1. Click Data & Analytics and select Global Price Trends at the top of the screen.
  2. Click the search bar and type the product name. Press Enter to view the results.

Step 2: Explore Price Indices

  1. Use the dropdown filter to customize the change rate criteria. You can select Week-over-Week, Month-over-Month or Year-over-Year.
  2. Explore the price indices of products. Each product’s card shows the top 5 countries with the largest change.
  3. Click a product card for information about countries beyond the top 5.
  4. In the product detail page, click the search bar and type the country name of your interest.
  5. Explore the price indices of countries. Each country's card shows the current price index, price change rate and price index trends over the past year.

Tip: You could also search by countries, not just by products. Select Search by Countries tab at the left side of the page.

Explore Meal Indices

Step 1: Access Meal Indices

  1. Click Data & Analytics and select Global Price Trends at the top of the screen.
  2. Click the Meal Indices tab at the left side of the page.

Step 2: Explore Meal Indices

  1. On the overview page, hover your mouse over the country of your interest. Each country’s card shows the current meal index, change rate and meal index trends over the past year.

    Tip: You can also easily check the meal index change rate using the percentage indicator at the bottom of the page.

  2. Click Browse at the left side of the page for detailed information about each country.
  3. On the Browse page, click the search bar and type country name. Each country’s card shows the current meal index, change rate and meal index trends.
  4. Click the checkbox at the right corner of the card. If you select more than 2 countries, you would be available to click Compare Meal Indices.
